Honoring Kendrick’s Life
A powerful reflection on Kendrick’s legacy and the ongoing pursuit of justice.
Honoring Kendrick’s Life. Demanding Truth. Pursuing Justice.
Kendrick Johnson was a 17-year-old student from Valdosta, Georgia, whose life was tragically cut short in January 2013 after he was found inside a rolled gym mat at Lowndes High School. More than a decade later, his family continues to reject the official explanation of his death and remains committed to exposing the truth.
The Kendrick Johnson Foundation exists to honor Kendrick’s life, preserve his legacy, and support the continued fight for justice, transparency, accountability, and due process.
The Fight Is Not Over
Kenneth and Jacquelyn Johnson have spent more than 13 years demanding answers for their son. Through public advocacy, legal action, community support, and national awareness efforts, the Johnson family continues to challenge the handling of Kendrick’s case and call attention to the unanswered questions surrounding his death.
The family is currently pursuing major civil rights litigation and continues to seek a jury trial, accountability, and the opportunity for the full truth to be heard.
Our Mission
The mission of The Kendrick Johnson Foundation is to honor Kendrick’s life and legacy while continuing the pursuit of truth, justice, transparency, and accountability. Through advocacy, public awareness, community outreach, and support for families facing similar tragedies, the foundation works to keep Kendrick’s story alive and inspire meaningful change.
We believe every life has value, every family deserves answers, and every death should be investigated with fairness, dignity, and integrity.
Why This Matters
Kendrick’s story is not just about one family’s grief. It is about the right of families to be heard, the responsibility of institutions to act with integrity, and the need for justice systems to serve people fairly.
For the Johnson family, this fight has never been about giving up. It has been about standing, speaking, and refusing to let Kendrick’s name be forgotten.
